Desert graffiti and a #giveaway

Please join me over at Embracing Romance today. I've got some nice pics of El Morro, a historic site we visited in New Mexico, and also a bit of a whinge about running out of gas (almost) in the middle of nowhere. And there's a giveaway, because I just love giving away copies of my books.

MUSHROOMS!

We had a lot of rain early this fall, and consequently many, many mushrooms!

Mushroom invasion.... These ones fold up at dusk and are all but invisible, then open up again at dawn.

My Favorite Historical Mysteries

(Above is a castle in Italy. Hmm... A historical romance could easily take place there.)

Today I'm over at Embracing Romance talking about my favorite historical mysteries. I'm recommending series by Lindsey Davis, Ellis Peters, P.F. Chisholm, P.B. Ryan, and Rhys Bowen...but there are tons more great historical mysteries out there, and I'd love to hear about them. Please join me there and tell me about your favorites.

Mr. Darcy! Miss Bennet?! and a #Giveaway

I love the formal manners of the Regency era...but sometimes they can be a bit too much. Today I'm at Collette Cameron's blog discussing formality, with particular reference to how well it's portrayed in the BBC series Pride and Prejudice (yes, the one starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle, which I simply can't get enough of, in common with a great many other people).

Also, I'm giving away a copy of To Kiss a Rake (or another of my books--winner's choice). Please come on over, tell me what you like or dislike about formal manners then and now, and you just might win!

GOSSIP AND A #GIVEAWAY

Good morning! Today I'm over at Embracing Romance talking about The Scourge of Gossip, and I'm also doing a giveaway.

Gossip is fun to write about in books that have happy endings, but it can be devastating to be the victim of it in real life. Come and comment, and you'll be eligible for the giveaway -- an e-copy of To Kiss a Rake or another of my books, winner's choice.

RELEASE DAY! TO KISS A RAKE is here. #giveaway #rafflecopter

Woot! To Kiss a Rake is finally out. It's Book One of a series called Scandalous Kisses. :)

To celebrate, I'm blogging over at Embracing Romance about the hero, who may not be the perfect alpha. Help me decide what a hero should be (and maybe I'll be able to rescue the next hero in the series from imperfection--or maybe not). There's an e-book giveaway for one lucky commenter.

WHEN A LADY IS ABDUCTED BY MISTAKE…

Melinda Starling doesn’t let ladylike behavior get in the way of true love. She’s secretly helping with an elopement, when she’s tossed into the waiting coach and driven away by a notorious rake.

REVENGE REALLY DOESN’T PAY.

Miles Warren, Lord Garrison, comes from a family of libertines, and he’s the worst of them all—or so society believes. When Miles helps a friend to run away with an heiress, it’s an entertaining way to revenge himself on one of the gossips who slandered him.

Except that he drives off with the wrong woman…and as if that wasn’t scandalous enough, he can’t resist stealing a kiss.

Not only that, I'm having a rafflecopter this week as well, with $10 and $25 gift certificates as prizes. Here it is:

Good luck! And I hope to see you over at Embracing Romance. :)
